Leading Edge was founded in June of 1994. It started out in a small, 2500 square foot shop, on the banks of the Vermillion River.
Due to the need for more space, Leading Edge moved to its current 26,000 square foot facility in Youngsville, LA.
Steve Himel purchased his partner’s portion of the company.
With the future in mind Steve & Felicia named Stephanie Clotiaux their eldest daughter, the Chief Operations Officer of the company.

From 3D design and drafting to CNC machining, TIG & MIG welding, abrasive blasting, and powder coating, all custom metal fabrication work is done at our two facilities in Youngsville and Broussard, LA, right on the outskirts of Lafayette.
