Metal Fabricator - Level III

Custom metal fabrication shop looking for an EXPERIENCED Fabricator. 40+ hours per week to start. Competitive wage and benefits package with room to grow, based on experience and performance.

5-7 years of fabrication experience in related work

$22 – $24 / hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Job Requirements:

• MUST HAVE a broad range of fabrication skills, and at least 5-7 years of fabrication experience in related work.
• MUST BE experienced in MIG and TIG welding on stainless, aluminum, and steel and be able to successfully pass a welder qualification test.
• MUST BE able to read prints.
• MUST HAVE experience fitting.
• MUST HAVE the ability to read and operate tape measure and calipers and have basic math and comprehension skills.
• MUST HAVE a keen attention to detail
• MUST HAVE the ability to lift at least 50lbs
• MUST HAVE the ability to problem solve on your own.
• MUST BE willing to work overtime when necessary.
• MUST HAVE a solid work ethic and pride in workmanship.

Job Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company standards for quality of product.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and always wear proper personal protective gear and uniforms.
• Set up, operate, and maintain your provided welding equipment.
• Weld components using welding equipment in various positions.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures using provided equipment, according to customer or employer specifications.
• Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects.
• Log all job time in project management software.
• Set up and operate Iron Worker. (when needed)
• Set up and operate vertical and horizontal Band Saw. (when needed)
• Set up and operate Corner Notcher. (when needed)
• Set up and operate Drill Press. (when needed)
• Set up and operate Greenlee Punch. (when needed)
• Set up and operate Plasma Machine. (when needed)

Powder Coater

Custom metal fabrication shop looking for a Powder Coater. 40+ hours per week to start. Competitive wage and benefits package with room to grow, based on experience and performance.

Any experience in a metal fabrication environment and forklift driving is a plus

Job Responsibilities

• Perform powder coating and abrasive blasting operations.
• Includes cleanup of steel, stainless, and aluminum parts per order requirements.
• Set up, operate, inspect and tend equipment.
• Maintain recollection system, booth and all maintenance parts.
• Recycle old sand and load new media. (operating forklift)
• Ensure work done meets established quality standards; identify and resolve quality issues.
• Deliver accurate and quality products on time to meet deadlines.
• Handling and moving objects — Using hands and arms in handling, positioning and moving materials and products.
• Conform to shop workflow for maximum efficiency.
• Seek to improve/suggest blasting techniques/tools to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
• Prepares surfaces by masking, grit blasting, or chemical rinsing.
